1. Robots - Beware of them. They will take your job. Especially those jobs that are transaction based. In turn, humans must be re-trained in a post-digital manner. We need to get skilled in using these sophisticated future trends in technology.
2. 3D printing - So cool! Need a new heart valve? By 2030, you can get one printed. Human augmentation will be at a new level. Need a coffee mug and don’t have a clean one handy? No problem. 3D printing will have you covered.
3. Personal Profiling - Think it’s crazy that Facebook knows you are looking at new couches and is now serving couch ads in your feed? Data analytics has more info than ever and can’t even analyze it all with today’s technology. Better examining the consumer and their interaction with their technology. Everything we do on social media is tracked. Photos, check ins, words we say, etc. but hey, your feed will always be filled with stuff you are interested in! Silver lining!
4. 5G Speed - This will be off the charts! Between the U.S. and China, it will be a fight to the finish for the fastest 5G. In case you are wondering, what exactly is 5G? 5G stands for fifth generation cellular wireless. According to Anis Uzzaman of Pegasus Tech Ventures, “Starlink’s broadband internet system will grow with 12,000 satellites through 2023, followed by the addition of 30,000 satellites. SpaceX will provide higher speed Internet starting in 2020.”
5. Drones - delivering packages, finding things on high shelves in manufacturing plants – what’s next? Efficiency and response rates are top of mind and will continue to increase productivity. How can a drone help your business be more productive?
